Map Layers Help

To learn how to turn layers on or off, active or inactive, in the Lethbridge Interactive WebMAP click on the categories below.


Working with Layers

Closed GroupClosed GroupClick this icon to open the group and show a list of all layers available.
Open GroupOpen GroupClick this icon to close the layer group.
HiddenHiddenA group or layer is hidden (not visible). Click this icon to make the group or layer visible. Note: When making a group visible, all layers within the group are made visible. Depending on the number of layers in the group, this may have an impact on the time required for the map to refresh.
VisibleVisibleA group or layer is fully visible. Click this icon to make a group or layer hidden (invisible). Note: When making a group hidden, all layers within the group are hidden.
Scale DependantScale DependantA visible layer, but not at the current map scale.
Partially VisiblePartially VisibleA group is partially visible. Some layers within the group are visible, while other layers are hidden. Click to make all layers within the group visible.


Layer Activity

InactiveInactive LayerClick this icon to make the corresponding layer the active layer. All layers with this icon are inactive.
ActiveActive LayerThis icon indicates the active layer. Only one layer may be active at any one time. This also activates map tips for some layers. To view map tips for features place the mouse pointer over the desired feature.
NOTE: Map Tips only works in Internet Explorer.
